Pencil Lay-in of a New Still-life

Here is my new still-life of a wine glass, corkscrew, and bottle, chef's knife and tomatoes on a cutting-board, and a stack of cookbooks. This one is laid in with pencil on a 18 by 24 inch canvas. I plan to paint this in oil.

David Larsen is an artist who lives in Tucson, Arizona. Thirty years ago, he attended a private art school. There, as a young man, he studied drawing and painting, with the idea of doing illustration for a living. Unfortunately, when he decided to pursue his passion as a career, the magic disappeared. As a result, he gave it up.

Twenty years later, after making his career elsewhere, he found his way again.
